Welcome to IAP Emirates! The IAP Emirates, is the first foreign branch of Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP). It was established in 2011 in Sharjah, UAE under the President-ship of Dr. Sunny Kurian, an eminent paediatrician in UAE. It strives to promote education and awareness of the latest in the field of Pediatrics for the benefit of all healthcare professional who take care of children, by organizing Conferences, Workshops, CMEs etc.
It has instituted an Annual oration - Sheikh Hamad bin Majid Al Qassimi Oration Award – which is conducted along with the annual CME.
The Indian Academy of Paediatrics was established in 1962, in Patna, India is today, a 19,000 member academic organization of Paediatricians committed to all aspects of improvement of health and well being of children.

It aims to play a crucial role in developing the knowledge base of Pediatricians in UAE. The branch was launched on 23rd Sept, 2011 Friday by HE Shri Sanjay Verma, The Consul General of India, in presence of a large audience at the Sharjah Cultural Palace Auditorium, Sharjah. To flag off the branch activities, a two-day (22nd and 23rd) international event featuring an Oration, Workshops and CME lectures was conducted.
